What is an audiogram?

An audiogram is a short video that turns audio (podcast clips, quotes, interview answers) into an animated waveform with a title and optional captions — perfect for sharing on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reels, Shorts and X where silent autoplay is the default.

Is Krymp Audiogram free?

Yes. It's free to create, customize and export audiograms. No account, no daily limit, no watermark on the output.

Is my audio uploaded anywhere?

No, not by default. The entire render happens in your browser via Canvas/WebCodecs. If you opt in to Auto (AI) captions, the audio is sent to an AI transcription service to timestamp the words — and you get a clear consent prompt the first time.

Which format should I pick for each platform?

1:1 works almost everywhere. 9:16 for Reels, TikTok and Shorts. 16:9 for YouTube and web. 4:5 for the Instagram feed. Krymp's audiogram editor has all four as one-click presets.

What makes the Aurora waveform special?

Aurora is our own waveform — three layers that react to bass, mids and highs separately, with glow and stardust. It looks equally great for podcasts, voice memos and quotes.

Can I export GIF or audio only?

Yes. In addition to WebM and MP4 you can export an animated GIF for places that don't allow video, plus a pure WAV if you only want the normalized audio. You can also export all four formats in one go.

Do you save my settings?

We save your latest project and brand kits locally in the browser (localStorage). Nothing is sent to us and you can clear it whenever you want.

How long should an audiogram be?

30–60 seconds works best for Reels/Shorts/TikTok. LinkedIn handles up to 90 seconds. For podcast quotes the gold is usually 25–45 seconds — Krymp's trim slider makes it easy to cut precisely.

Does the audiogram tool work on mobile?

Yes. The editor is built mobile-first: sticky preview, swipeable themes and a global Export button that follows along. You can also render 9:16 directly from your phone.

Does the tool support non-English captions?

Yes. Auto captions understand English, Swedish and most major EU languages, including special characters (å/ä/ö, ñ, ß). You can also type captions manually or import SRT/VTT.
